Not too long ago, an unassuming restaurant dubbed The Standard opened up on Magazine Street only for its patrons to realize that the dishes offered were anything but. The cafe, run by Atlanta-based restaurateurs Alison Wild and Lana Banks, features a casual atmosphere and a short straightforward menu of classic American cuisine like a burger or a grilled cheese sandwich If you’re in the area, you might want to pop in and sink your teeth into their heavenly Reuben made with thick-sliced corned beef brisket, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and 1000 Island dressing grilled on rye bread.
