Presented by Abita, the 9th Annual Oak Street Po-Boy Festival is just around the corner landing on Sunday, November 22nd from 10am to 6pm. It’s difficult not to revel in the prolific po-boy every year on Oak Street with over 40 different food vendors, an arts market and live local music all day long on two different stages.
Expect po-boys a plenty like a Smoked Beef Bourguingnon Po-Boy with French Onion Dip from Boucherie, Fried Maine Lobster Po-Boy with butter sauce from GW Fins, Roasted Lamb Shoulder Po-Boy with feta and cucumber from Mahony’s and a “Godfather Po-Boy” with brisket, meatballs and Italian sausage from Vincent’s Italian Cuisine. There’ll also be a Food Truck Village featuring Diva Dawg and Crescent City Eats not to mention all kinds of eats from the restaurants that always live on Oak Street, from Pho Bistreaux and trüburger to Breads on Oak and Cowbell.
As if feasting on po-boys and shopping local art were not enough, there will be live local music rocking two stages at either end of festival featuring bands like Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, Los Po Boy Citos, Rebirth Brass Band, Tank & The Bangas, Naughty Professor and more. See you there!
