French Quarter diners rejoice! Broussard’s Restaurant & Courtyard has recently announced that it will now offer lunch on Fridays from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Executive chef Neal Swidler is serving up old favorites and innovative twists with his new lunch menu that launched just last week on October 9th. Enjoy cornmeal-crusted oysters with spinach, mushrooms and Tabasco-deviled eggs, a blackened tuna remoulade sushi stack, Steens’ candied pork belly and a Rich Man’s Poor-Boy with fried Gulf oysters, apple wood-smoked bacon and Rockefeller spread. Also available is a two-course, $19.20 menu which is a nod to Broussard’s opening date which occurred almost a century ago.
“Friday lunches in New Orleans are legendary, and Broussard’s has a long history to share,” states Zeid Ammari, Chief Operating Officer of Creole Cuisine, the restaurant group that operates Broussard’s. “Celebrating nearly a century in the New Orleans culinary scene is the perfect time to bring lunches back to our locals. We invite you to come in and stay awhile.”
