In a partnership with other world-renowned chefs, John Besh plans to host another “Fetes des Chefs” Fundraiser on Friday March 18th and Saturday March 19th. 2016. Benefiting John Besh Foundation – which provides micro-loans for local farmers and food artisans, as well as scholarships for local minority aspiring chefs – the featured chefs will be hosting dinner parties at private homes around New Orleans.
Participating chefs include Gail Simmons of Top Chef and Cooking with my Mouth Full; Chef Sean Brock of Husk; Chef Marc Vetri of Vetri Family; Chef Michelle Bertstein of Mitchy’s and The Food Network’s Melting Pot; Chef Edward Lee of 610 Magnolia; Chef Aarón Sánchez of Johnny Sánchez, and Chopped; and Chef Ashley Christensen of Poole’s and Death & Taxes.
“It’s was such an honor and pleasure to host Fêtes des Chefs with John Besh last year,” said Gail Simmons. “I never need an excuse to visit him in NOLA, but knowing we were cooking and eating for such a great cause made the whole weekend even more delicious.”
There will also be a special party on Friday, March 18th. Chef Besh will host a casual festival at The Civic with live music, local food vendors, and free-flowing drinks.
